three scenes:
1. a one-year-old perfectly content paige sitting on a beach towel on a tennis court with cheerios stuck all over her face while her parents hit the ball back and forth.
2. a crowd of one and two-year-old toddlers in the church pre-school room all hovering over a table shoving fist fulls of cheerios into their mouths in complete silence.
3. nine-month-old daniel, hearing the box of cheerios being opening, flaps his arms with a huge grin on his face while he stands at the coffee table waiting for a handful of cheerios.
what is it about the lure of cheerios? i myself can't deny it. when daniel gets some, i get some.
i picked up a book called "the cheerio play book". to daniel it is sheer torture because he can't quite tell the cheerios aren't real and swipes his hand over the pages trying to grab them. when i put a couple on the page, he can tell the difference and his little fingers go straight to the good stuff. highly entertaining :)
