I debated posting pictures of birds
again, but if you read my blog regularly, you know I get obsessive about new hobbies and that part of the deal with opening up my page is getting the crazy with the good. Sometimes crazy
is good.
Yesterday I asked Joe if we could go on a date during the boys' nap time, so we jumped in his truck, turned it around and sat in the driveway to watch birds. You didn't think I'd leave my babies home alone, did you? Well Daniel came running out the garage freaking out in tears because he'd seen us from his bedroom window and thought we were leaving. So our date became more of a partial family outing, Puckett-style (remember our
Country Club?).
It's gotten to where any time I try to sneak off to quietly observe, after about five minutes, Daniel comes bolting to join me yelling, "Bird watch with you, Mommy!". I love his enthusiasm. God bless him.

I love me some good bird watching! Now that we're in a condo I can't do it.....oh how I miss it!
ReplyDeleteA. and I love watching the birds from our window. She is in charge of filling up the bird feeders and it makes her so proud to see them eating from them.
ReplyDeleteDaniel loves helping me with the feeder too! This is such a fun age to let kids get involved.
ReplyDeleteI want to take the boys to Lake Johnson soon for some bird watching. You're lucky there are enough places you can go to for some observation. Nothing is quite as comfortable though as looking out your window.
