About

Pocket Smiles (n) smiles that must be take from one's pocket to be worn. (I was very shy and serious in preschool, so my teacher would ask me to reach in my pocket and pull out a smile to help me relax).

Hi, my name is Paige and this blog is my ongoing attempt to document and share the things I am learning in parenting and life (both the joys and heartbreaks) as a woman seeking to keep Jesus at the center of it all. It is guaranteed to make you laugh, cry, think ... or bore you to tears.

I am a stay-at-home mom full time but also managed to get an amazing job teaching distance education courses in Bio and Ag Engineering after I graduated several years ago. Before having a kid, my husband and I loved camping, eating out, going to movies and miniature golf. We can't wait to get back into some of these when the kids are older and can enjoy them with us, but for now we stick to more home oriented activities like gardening, cooking and coming up with new yard projects. I love getting my hands dirty, and when it's not too cold in the garage and I'm not tending to babies, I like to spend some time at my pottery wheel.

If you would like to follow our gardening and outdoor adventures, check out my other blog Love Sown.
